About Alexia
Alexia completed her Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School. She previously earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Rhetoric with a creative writing specialization and a minor in Gender Studies from the University of Waterloo.
While in law school, Alexia worked as a student caseworker in the immigration division of Osgoode’s Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP). She was also awarded the Faisal Mirza Criminal Law Writing Prize for outstanding work on a second-year research paper. In her final year, Alexia worked as a volunteer research assistant for the Law Commission of Ontario’s Protection Orders project. In this role, she analyzed testimonies submitted to the Standing Committee on the Status of Women (FEWO) to support an upcoming consultation paper examining the use and impact of peace bonds for survivors of domestic violence. Alexia’s interest in family law stems from the intersection of her past advocacy and ongoing passion for learning.
